Where It Started
Before The Yard was a facility vision, it was a front-yard soccer tournament that brought friends, families, sponsors, and neighbors together around small-sided soccer.
A Backyard Idea Became a Community Proof Point
We hosted a small-sided tournament in our front yard and raised $3,000 for the Make-A-Wish Foundation. What started as a local event became something people genuinely enjoyed, supported, and wanted to see continue.
The response showed us that Western New York has real energy for accessible, small-sided soccer. Players loved the format, families stayed to watch, and local sponsors helped make the day feel bigger than a pickup game.
The Next Step Is a Permanent Home
That front-yard tournament proved the appetite is already here. The Yard is our answer: a more permanent location for small-sided soccer, public play, youth development, charity events, and community programming that can happen again and again.
A temporary field showed what was possible. Now we want to build the place that lets it last.
Sponsors, Players, and Families Made It Real
Local sponsors helped turn a front-yard tournament into a polished community event. The experience gave us a clear blueprint for The Yard: keep the energy intimate and local, but create a facility that can support more players, more events, and more impact.
The goal is simple: give small-sided soccer a dependable home in Western New York so moments like this are not one-off memories, but a regular part of community life.
